Somos pioneras en la organización de espacios pensados desde y para cuerpos trans, especialmente a través de la cultura ballroom. Desde nuestras propias vivencias, hemos creado lugares afectivos donde encontrarnos, reconocernos y habitar nuestras existencias en la diáspora.
La fiesta es para nosotras un acto de resistencia, un ritual colectivo que nos permite sostenernos y abrir grietas en las violencias que nos atraviesan. A través de la performance, la poesía y las pedagogías antirracistas y disidentes, enfrentamos los discursos lgtbifóbicos y coloniales con un compromiso firme por la justicia social.
Seguimos imaginando y construyendo futuros posibles, donde vivir juntas no sea un riesgo, sino una celebración.
Dont Hit a la Negra is an affective community made up of trans and gender-expansive migrants and refugees. For the past eight years, we have been weaving networks of collective care and resistance in Madrid and Barcelona, firmly believing that affection, pleasure, and celebration are also powerful forms of political action.
We are pioneers in creating spaces designed by and for trans bodies, particularly through ballroom culture. Rooted in our lived experiences, we have built safe spaces where we can meet, recognize one another, and exist fully in the diaspora.
For us, the party is an act of resistance—a collective ritual that allows us to hold each other and crack open the violences that shape our lives. Through performance, poetry, and antiracist, dissident pedagogies, we confront lgtbiphobic and colonial discourses with a strong commitment to social justice.
We continue imagining and building possible futures, where living together is not a risk, but a celebration.
